About Dominique Albert Kasindi
Dominique Albert Kasindi, MD, is a board-certified Hospitalist Physician specializing in internal medicine and has been specifically trained to work in hospital settings. Dr. Kasindi is also the owner and Medical Director of Medi-Weightloss Dallas, a healthcare service specializing in medically supervised weight loss therapies and overall wellness programs. A medical approach to weight loss is critical for reducing the risk of disease during the weight loss process. It is also a preferred method because these therapies can offer other benefits, including better sleep, increased energy, improved breathing, and a reduction in associated joint pain.
A native of North Texas, Kasindi is proud of his critical role as a front-line medical responder during the COVID pandemic. As a hospitalist, his role during this crucial period in healthcare was to make operational decisions for workgroups within complex health systems, balancing his dual role as a front-line physician and part of the healthcare operations management team.
Dr. Kasindi received his doctorate degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, the oldest higher education institution in Texas, with a medical school that is renowned for its high standards when it comes to clinical practice. Dominique is also a medical researcher who has published multiple high-impact white papers, especially pertaining to gastroenterology, along with several speaker presentations at North Texas ACP Associates Day and the Texas A&M College of Medicine.
EDUCATION
Upon graduating Cum Laude from the Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, TX., Dominique was proud to be the first in his family to go on to attend university. He received a Loyola New Orleans Saint Ignatius scholarship that covered his entire tuition, room, and board for four years. He graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from this prestigious institution.
Kasindi set his sights on becoming a medical professional and was accepted into the graduate program at Texas A&M College of Medicine, where he was recognized as an Outstanding Student in Internal Medicine. This award is singularly awarded to one graduating fourth-year medical student for outstanding performance during their internal medicine clerkship. He also received the Sigma Phi Epsilon Wesley R. Moynan Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior.
After receiving his medical doctorate, Kasindi performed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dominique credits his medical internship with not only providing him with the critical cognitive and technical skills required for patient care but also with having taught him how compassion and kindness can greatly enhance the doctor/patient relationship.
